Industry Workshop
An industry workshop will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday, 20 January. The workshop theme will be “Sustaining Future Orchard Profitability in Years with Reduced Access to Irrigation Water.” It will explore the use of AI, cutting-edge irrigation technology, and drastic agronomic practices to mitigate financial risks associated with low water availability in modern orchards.
Facilitated by Jeremy Giddings (Agriculture Victoria Mallee Regional Irrigation Manager), the workshop will feature a panel of mixed stakeholders such as scientists, growers, agronomists and policymakers. The session will encourage dynamic discussion through audience questions and interactions.
The workshop will accommodate up to 50 growers, with their participation supported by Hort Innovation.
